EUGLOH PhD Spring School 2026

The University of Novi Sad, within the EUGLOH European University Alliance, invites PhD students and early-stage researchers from all EUGLOH partner universities to apply for the EUGLOH PhD Spring School 2026.
Format: Hybrid (physical intensive session + online follow-up work)
On-site session: 6–8 May 2026, Novi Sad, Serbia
About the Programme
The EUGLOH PhD Spring School is a research-intensive programme designed to strengthen doctoral candidates’ academic independence, scientific writing skills, and ability to work in international and intercultural research environments.
The primary aim of this activity is to promote the concept of active, healthy, and productive living within the intercultural and international setting of the EUGLOH Campus.
The programme is specifically focused on the preparation and writing of scientific review articles within the broad field of health, exercise, sport, or medicine.
The programme focuses on:
- Research methodology refinement within the broad field of health, exercise, sport, or medicine
• Scientific writing and structuring of review manuscripts
• Publication strategies and journal selection
• Interdisciplinary academic collaboration in multicultural groups
The goal is clear: preparation of a publishable review article.
Participants will work in small international teams and will continue collaboration after the on-site session through one month of structured online mentorship and group work. Mentors will provide continuous academic guidance and support throughout the manuscript preparation process.
The final review manuscripts will be submitted to scientific journals within the EUGLOH partner universities. Selected manuscripts will undergo peer review, and the best paper will be awarded at the EUGLOH Annual Summit.
In alignment with EUGLOH, the Spring PhD School integrates academic excellence with well-being and intercultural exchange. Participants will engage in organized sport and exercise activities at the University sports facilities. These activities aim to strengthen intercultural bonds, promote active lifestyles, and enhance collaboration in informal settings.
Who Can Apply?
- PhD students from EUGLOH partner universities. Total number of students: 18 (2 per partner universities)
• Highly motivated early-stage researchers
• Candidates committed to active participation during and after the on-site session;
Applications that clearly demonstrate motivation, academic commitment, and readiness for collaborative work in an international environment will be prioritized.
