Organised by the School of Biomedical Sciences of U.Porto, this workshop will focus on non-human primate models to study the immune response in the context of infectious diseases and vaccine development. Aiming to foster collaboration within the context of the EUGLOH Alliance, it will be delivered by a guest expert, Anne Sophie Beignon, from IDMIT, CEA, INSERM, Université Paris-Saclay.

Participants will thus get to know the dynamics of vaccine-induced innate and adaptive memory and their interactions in the context of prime/boost immunizations. Principles behind state-of-the-art technology for the study of the immune response, such as mass cytometry, will be also covered.

Students of the University of Porto will physically attend the event at the School of Biomedical Sciences (30 vacancies). Students from the remaining EUGLOH partner universities will have the opportunity to participate virtually (5 vacancies per partner).

Eligible students will be sorted by order of registration, with priority conferred to those attending the final years of their doctoral programme.
