The University of Szeged’s engine for entrepreneurial activities is the Directorate-General for Strategy and Development which includes the Directorate for Innovation which consists of 3 divisions: Technology Transfer, Industry Relations, Business Development, and that coordinates the Virtus Programme.
Entrepreneurial activities are carried out by Virtus and have been supporting the realisation of student and researcher ideas for years. Virtus supports the implemention of marketable ideas and encourages private sector players to submit business challenges. The Virtus Programme helped to drive 70+ of these ideas beyond the idea phase and laid the groundwork for the future of startups with professional guidance. The work is supported by a dedicated mentor team of university lecturers and business professionals.
