Common urological diseases in the elderly population

Ageing of the European population is unveiling new health problems that require particular attention from healthcare providers and policymakers.

Students during graduation should, therefore, be exposed to such prevalent diseases, which in elderly individuals are frequently ignored. In addition, the treatment approach is unavoidably different from the one described for younger groups. This webinar will address urinary incontinence, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and sexual dysfunction. The clinical presentation, the diagnostic pathway, and the treatments that can be offered to elderly individuals will be presented and open for debate with the audience.

The public target will be medical students in the 4th, 5th, and 6th year of graduation and young doctors doing their specialization in Internal Medicine
