Immersive media is an effective tool to augment the information and agency of professionals in distinct areas, faced with the challenge of increased intelligent systems and distributed workspaces. The participants will be able to design and prototype Augmented and Virtual Reality solutions for applications with a focus on health and well-being. From the use of game engines for developing interactive applications, to the design and development of immersive environments, the participants will gain understanding of the processes related to design and development of immersive media solutions, acquiring skills to master related technologies, and to evaluate its efficacy.

Targeted student profile

Higher years of bachelor studies (2nd year and up) of computer science / computer engineering / math / physics / art / multimedia (technical) or master students, who work in a different domain, and would like to acquire additional skills.

Costs

The participation is free of charge. The trip to Hamburg for selected participants will be covered by EUGLOH.

Certificate and ECTS

The first three days (19-21 Jun 23) of this summer school will be open to all participants, who will receive a certificate of attendance (no ECTS). The second part will take place at Universität Hamburg. Max. 3 students from each EUGLOH University (who will be selected by a commission composed of EUGLOH academics) will be able to attend. These 27 students will be able to receive up to 5-6 ECTS for their work (online and at Universität Hamburg). To obtain ECTS, these participants will be evaluated.
