The European University Alliance for Global Health – Research and Innovation Agenda (EUGLOHRIA) is a consortium consisting of five Universities: Lund University, Université Paris-Saclay, Ludwig- Maximilians-Universitat Munchen (LMU), Universidade do Porto, and University of Szeged, aiming to build a European University of the future by bringing universities across Europe together and combining their outstanding expertise in Global Health, Research, and Innovation. On behalf of EUGLOHRIA, Université Paris-Saclay and University of Porto invite you to:

EUGLOHRIA Workshop “From mechanisms of infection and pathogenesis to vaccines development in malaria”

Target group:

PhD students, researchers and platforms/Core Facilities of the EUGLOHRIA Alliance involved in biomedical research.

Content:

This workshop aims to foster collaborations within the EUGLOH network by providing an overview of the current malaria research. There will be several presentations by speakers from different universities of the alliance on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of infection by Plasmodium parasites and pathogenesis, and on immune responses and vaccine development, highlighting the variety of research topics, models of study, and technologies, and hopefully complementary approaches and opportunities to collaborate.

Format:

Hybrid by combining a "live" in-person event with a "virtual" online component. This Workshop offers the chance of connecting translational biomedicine experts within the EUGLOH Alliance to enable research collaborations. Participants are expected to engage in the exchange on research topics and funding strategies.

Location:

Faculty of Medicine, Université Paris Saclay, hôpital Bicêtre, Le Kremlin Bicêtre and online participation for the researchers and professors of the EUGLOH Alliance partners who could not be able to attend it onsite
