Health Beats | Talks is the latest initiative of the Department for Mobility and International Relations of AEFMUP and intends to bring to debate relevant topics in the area of Global Health.

Have you ever wondered about the relationship between the use of cannabis and our brain? Can cannabis exposure increase the risk of psychosis and other psychotic disorders?

On Monday, 16th October, Manuel Fernandez Esteves M.D. Ph.D. is meeting us at 6 pm GMT+1 at AEFMUP's Students' Hall to discuss the topic of cannabis induced psychosis. Lately, the number of people who are using cannabis-based compounds both for recreational and medicinal purposes is increasing.

Join us to untangle this connection and its associated risks for our mental health.

In order to bring the participants closer to our speaker, at the end of the session we will open a space for debate and discussion so that different ideas and perspectives can be shared, as well as questions asked.

Format

  • The seminar will be held face-to-face at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and online (hybrid).
