The lectures series will provide students from all disciplines with an easily understandable introduction to the concepts of sustainable development as defined in the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the idea of Planetary Health.

The Planetary Health concept recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health and the importance of addressing these three areas in a holistic manner. In the context of today's grand challenges, such as climate change, emerging infectious diseases, and increasing antibiotic resistance, Planetary Health has become an essential framework for tackling complex health problems.

In the lecture series, each session will feature a researcher from one of the participating universities. The lectures will be designed to engage students from all subjects, not just those studying health-related fields, in order to demonstrate the interdisciplinary nature of Planetary Health. The talks may focus explicitly on Planetary Health or more generally on various aspects of sustainable development, such as climate change or gender diversity.
