BUILDING EUROPE’S CAMPUS FOR GLOBAL HEALTH
Université Paris-Saclay offers a full range of Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees, recognised on the international stage thanks to the reputation of its research and the commitment of its teaching staff. Its constituent faculties and institutions further expand this offer with cutting-edge thematic training in science and engineering, life sciences and health, and social sciences and humanities.
Located south of Paris, at the heart of a comprehensive ecosystem of research and innovation, stretching from the south of Paris to Orsay, from Evry in the east to Versailles in the west, Université Paris-Saclay benefits from a strategic geographical and socio-economic position enhanced by its international visibility.
The university offers cutting-edge research. The 220 laboratories shared by its 7 research institutions (CEA, CNRS, IHES, Inrae, Inria, Inserm and ONERA) represent 13% of the French research potential. As such, it provides students with a rich blend of high-end training courses in a comprehensive range of subjects, including but not limited to Natural Sciences, Engineering & Technology, and Life Sciences & Medicine.
Just as key to higher education is innovation. The Paris-Saclay Campus also takes advantage of its location at the heart of the largest innovation cluster in the world, which is home to the R&D centres of key enterprises as well as a strong network of incubators for start-ups and FabLabs.
With 50,000 students, 8,000 researchers and academic staff, and 8,000 technical and administrative staff, Université Paris-Saclay is a driving force for the development of its territory and one of the top higher education institutions in France.
For the fourth year in a row, ever since its creation in 2020, Université Paris-Saclay has appeared in the top 20 of the Academic Ranking of World Universities. In 2024, Université Paris-Saclay was ranked 12th (1st in France and continental Europe) in the annual Shanghai Ranking (ARWU), confirming its position as a world-class research-intensive University. Université Paris-Saclay was ranked 2nd in the world for Mathematics and 3rd for Physics. The University also appeared in the global top 50 for 14 subjects and in the top 100 for an additional 10 disciplines, a strong indication of the institution's research excellence, confirmed by the recent Nobel Prize in Physics awarded to Alain Aspect and the Fields Medal awarded to Hugo Duminil-Copin.
