TRAINING MODULES IN PEDAGOGY WITH EUGLOH FUNDING
Are you passionate about enhancing teaching practices? Team up with colleagues from another EUGLOH partner university and apply for seed funding to co-create innovative training opportunities for academic staff. This call supports the development of pedagogical training modules that empower educators and improve student learning outcomes.
WHAT INITATIVES CAN BE SUPPORTED?
The aim is to support the creation of high-quality training activities targeting teachers and PhDs involved in teaching. The training modules should strengthen their pedagogical competence and must fall within one, or more, of the following thematic areas:
- Student-Centred Pedagogical Methods
Focus on instructional approaches that empower students to shape their learning experience—content, pace, and activities—based on learning objectives rather than fixed syllabi. - Universal Design for Learning & Inclusive Classrooms
Equip educators with tools and strategies to design inclusive courses that support diverse learners regardless of ability, age, or learning style. - Flexible Teaching and Learning
Explore course design that accommodates flexibility in time, place, pace, content, and assessment—preparing educators to meet the evolving needs of future students. - English Training for Teachers
Enhance teachers’ confidence and competence in teaching in English, supporting internationalisation and cross-cultural collaboration. - Teaching for Sustainability
Develop methods and resources that help educators make sustainability education engaging, actionable, and relevant for students.
The modules will be delivered in virtual, blended, or in-person format. For in-person modules, the organisers may request additional funding to cover the participant’s scholarships and costs for facilities. Local EUGLOH offices can assist with the budget planning.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Each application must be submitted by a team of at least two individuals from two different EUGLOH partner universities. Teams may include:
- Academic staff involved in teaching
- Experts from Teaching and Learning Centres (central or faculty level)
- Other professionals engaged in pedagogical development
Applications must be signed by the head of department, or another authorised representative, from each participating institution. Collaboration with external stakeholders is welcome, but EUGLOH funding cannot be allocated to external organisations.
Make use of EUGLOH Connect to find colleagues at the other EUGLOH partner universities to collaborate with.
WHAT FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?
Each team can apply for up to €10,000 per project. The funding can be used for:
- Staff costs for planning and delivery
- Mobility costs for planning meetings
- Costs related to organising physical/virtual training activities
A simple budget overview is requested in the application, showing how the institutions are sharing the costs. Financial reporting will follow the guidelines of each applicant’s home institution.
WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES?
The module developed must be delivered during 2026. Training modules should be open to participants from all EUGLOH partners and may target:
- Senior teachers with extensive teaching experience
- Junior teachers with less than five years of teaching experience
- PhD students involved in teaching
A EUGLOH Conference on Pedagogy is planned to take place in Alcalá May 2026. The module can be designed as a pre-conference workshop.
Funded teams are expected to submit a progress report detailing actions taken, challenges, and next steps and by the end of the project a final report plan outlining how, when, where, and for whom the training will be delivered—including a programme overview.
SELECTION, MONITORING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECTS
Applications will be carefully reviewed, and the results of the call will be communicated in December 2025. The work of developing the training module will take place in spring 2026 and the final report from the team must be submitted no later than June 2026. All training activities must be completed and evaluated before 1 December 2026. Before a module can be disseminated, an approval of the workpackage is required.
