COTUTELLE: JOINT DOCTORAL SUPERVISION

A Cotutelle is a joint supervision where the doctoral candidate must have a minimum of two supervisors from different universities and must carry out part of their PhD education at each of those universities. A signed agreement between the Higher Education Institutions  involved formalises the arrangement for both the student and the supervisors.

During its pilot phase, EUGLOH put together a cotutelle handbook that is currently under revision in order to encompass all nine EUGLOH partner universities. This handbook gives an essential summary of the original five EUGLOH partner universities, their doctoral study programmes, doctoral schools interested in Cotutelle cooperation, possibilities for joint doctoral training and examples of currently existing Cotutelle agreements. A link to the updated handbook will be provided here as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, if you are curious to explore this opportunity, we recommend that you get in touch with the EUGLOH team
