7th EUGLOH Annual Student Research Conference 2026

The University of Szeged invites undergraduate, master’s and PhD students from EUGLOH partner universities to the 7th EUGLOH Annual Student Research Conference 2026 – Shaping Global Health through Life Sciences, taking place in Szeged, Hungary, on 24–26 November 2026.
The conference provides an opportunity to present your own research, discuss scientific findings with peers and academics, and build connections across the EUGLOH Alliance. The programme includes student research presentations, plenary lectures, scientific discussions and social activities.
Contributions are welcome in medical and health sciences, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, computer science and eHealth, natural sciences, environmental challenges, non-communicable and pandemic diseases, as well as the humanities, legal and economic dimensions of global health.
Three students per EUGLOH partner university will be selected.
To apply, register through the EUGLOH intranet and submit an abstract of your own research at https://www3.szote.u-szeged.hu/eugloh by 4 October 2026.
Content and Methodology
The conference combines plenary lectures, student oral presentations and interactive scientific discussions in a dedicated EUGLOH section.
Each selected student will deliver a 10-minute presentation of their own research, followed by a 5-minute discussion. Presentations will be evaluated on the quality of the abstract, the scientific value of the results, the format and visual presentation, coherence and style, and the presenter’s discussion skills and professional competence.
Provisional programme:
24 November: Opening evening from 17:30, including a plenary lecture by Nobel laureate Prof. Katalin Karikó.
25 November: Scientific presentations and discussions;
26 November: Scientific presentations and discussions; EUGLOH award ceremony and closing dinner.
Applicants must submit an abstract presenting their own research. Selection will be based on the assessment of abstracts.
