This lecture series will provide a comprehensive overview of the solutions chemistry offers in the fields of energy storage and transformation of CO2 into useful chemicals. Various chemical processes will be discussed and analysed, including the utilization of solar energy, hydrogen production and storage, and the catalytic conversion of CO2 into valuable products

Number of ECTS: 2

Prerequsites:  Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering; General knowledge in chemical transformations for energy, materials and catalysis.

Methodolgoy:

The primary teaching methodologies for this course will include online lectures and problem-based learning.

A short in-person session period, lasting 2 days, will be scheduled at the University of Alcalá to cover oral presentations (workshops), examinations, and opportunities for social and scientific networking.

Partners from the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection of the University of Novi Sad, will join the teaching team, as well as an expert in organic synthesis towards bioactive molecules.

The on-site sessions of this course will be held during the same week as the IQAR Master’s activities. Throughout the week, students will engage in various events, including conferences, a roundtable discussion with alumni and professionals, and a joint poster session.
