Zoom Webinars

This e-conference, part of a broader sustainability series, will focus on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7: Affordable and Clean Energy.
The event will bring together experts and showcase student-led initiatives aimed at advancing this crucial goal.
As part of the ongoing EUGLOH e-conference series on diversity and inclusion, Université Paris-Saclay and Lund University will co-host a virtual event dedicated to exploring SDG 7, which seeks to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. Given our current reliance on unsustainable and environmentally harmful fossil fuels, the shift to cleaner energy production and consumption is more critical than ever. Renewable energy technologies are becoming increasingly affordable, efficient, and reliable—but how soon can we fully embrace them, and what obstacles remain?
The e-conference will feature three speakers:
- Prof. Benoît Gabrielle
Vice-Rector for Sustainable Development and Societal Responsibility, and Professor of Bioeconomy and Sustainable Science at AgroParisTech, Université Paris-Saclay.
Presentation Topic: Bioenergy: A Clean and Affordable Player in the Energy Transition? - Prof. Bruno Darrac
Operational Director of the Centre of Vocational Excellence "Sustainable Energy" supported by Paris-Saclay University. Applied Physics Professor at the University Institute of Technology, Orsay, Paris-Saclay University.
Presentation Topic: How to meet the need for jobs and skills in the field of sustainable energy ? - Solstice Project - Lund University
