Webinar: AI for Enhanced Classroom Teaching
This webinar explores the intersection of innovation and pedagogy, presenting key insights and outcomes from the ACT-e project. It examines how generative AI (GenAI) can empower educators, boost student engagement, and transform learning experiences across diverse academic disciplines.

The event is organized into four parts:

Part 1: Plenary

  • Introduction to the ACT-E project and team (Signe Sønvisen, University of Tromsø)
  • AI in education: an overview (Mario Burgui, University of Alcalá)
  • GenAI literacy and scientific writing (Celia Sales, University of Porto)

Part 2: Breakout Rooms

  • Room 1: Interview practice with customized role-play chatbots (Signe Sønvisen & Jarl Gunnar Taxerås Flaten, University of Tromsø)
  • Room 2: Licensing models and running open-source LLMs (Daniel Rodríguez García, University of Alcalá)
  • Room 3:To AI or not to AI? – Follow-up on a student survey (Omar de la Cruz, University of Alcalá)
