EUGLOH Highlights European Collaboration with Joint Activities Held by LMU and UHH around Europe Day 2026

The Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and the University of Hamburg (UHH) are joining other German universities within European University Networks to highlight the importance of European cooperation in higher education.

Both universities are holding joint events as part of this year’s Europe Day activities organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), supported by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR). Building on the positive response to last year’s activities, the two universities will once again offer both an online event and in-person Walk & Talk sessions to engage students and staff in the EUGLOH community.

On 5 May 2026 from 17:00 to 18:00, LMU and UHH, together with partners in the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH), will once again host an online event. This year's event is called EUGLOH Shared Experience - Celebrate the Europe Day 2026 and the program includes an introduction to EUGLOH, student testimonials, and an interactive Europe quiz.

Both universities will also again offer in-person Walk & Talk sessions on 7 May 2026 from 12:00 to 13:00.

By continuing last year’s Walk & Talk format, the universities once more provide participants with a personal and informal opportunity to engage with EUGLOH, international mobility opportunities, and European university collaborations.

Participants are invited to register for both the online event and the Walk & Talk sessions via the provided registration links above.

With these activities, UHH and LMU join fellow members of European University Networks in underscoring their commitment to the aims and visions of the European Universities.
