EUGLOH launches Seed Funding Programme for the academic year 2024-2025

Call for applications development of training opportunities targeting academic staff within the EUGLOH Alliance.

Academic Staff

The EUGLOH Alliance has launched a new call for applications to support the development of training opportunities within the framework of the “Transnational Teaching and Learning” working group and the “Educational Development Programme” task (Work Package 2). This team is responsible for promoting joint pedagogical innovation across the EUGLOH Alliance, fostering inter-institutional collaboration and knowledge sharing. 

The primary goal of this task is to build a common understanding of teaching and learning processes, exchange best practices, and strengthen the capacity of teaching staff to design and co-create innovative educational resources and courses for interculturally diverse and multidisciplinary audiences – in digital and inclusive classrooms.

Selected projects will be expected to create an innovative training activity between March and December 2025. However, this call only covers the design and development phase is covered by this call, excluding the implementation component of the training courses developed. Objectives of the Call for Proposals

This call aims to support the creation of joint innovative training opportunities for academic staff engaged in teaching and learning at EUGLOH partner institutions. By encouraging collaboration across the Alliance, the programme aims to leverage shared resources to develop and test high-quality training initiatives. It also facilitates the transfer of best practices and disseminates innovative teaching and learning knowledge within the Higher Education sector.

Moreover, this programme provides an opportunity for academic staff to expand their international networks within the EUGLOH Alliance, fostering peer-to-peer collaboration and accelerating the development of joint pedagogical projects.

Eligibility Criteria

This call is open to academic staff involved in pedagogical innovation, including course developers, instructional designers, academics, and researchers. Applicants must have an active contractual link with one of the EUGLOH Partner Universities, which will be validated by the applicant’s home Higher Education Institution (HEI). Each project proposal must be co-created by international teams with representatives from at least two EUGLOH Partner Universities.

Application Process

The first step in the application process is to establish a partnership with academics or researchers from at least two EUGLOH partner universities. Once the team is formed and a concrete plan for co-creating an innovative training course is in place, the primary applicant can proceed to submit the proposal. The submission deadline is December 16th, 23:59 CET, and the call for applications is available HERE. The allocation of funding requires the support of the Universities, Faculties/Departments involved.

Virtual Information Session 

A webinar titled “Applying for Seed Funding for Academic Staff Development and Training” will be held on November 18th, from 12:20 to 13:30 CET.
