EUGLOH Teachers Conference on Pedagogical Development

The first EUGLOH Conference on Pedagogical Development, hosted by the University of Alcalá from 27 to 29 May 2026, will be an opportunity to share expertise on future-proofing education with a vibrant international community.

Under the theme “Future-Proofing Higher Education: Innovation and Collaboration in Teaching and Learning”, this landmark event will bring together educators, researchers, and academic staff from across Europe. The conference aims to foster collaboration, promote pedagogical innovation, and strengthen professional development – placing students at the heart of the learning process.

The call for contributors is now open and teachers, researchers and educational developers are welcome to contribute to the conference themes:

  • Digital Innovation for International Collaboration: COILs, joint teaching initiatives, virtual mobility, and learning analytics.
  • Curricular Design and Assessment in the Age of AI: Strategies for integrating AI, digital competence, and interdisciplinary programme design.
  • Learner-Centred Pedagogies for Global Citizens: Inclusion, well-being, sustainability, and student partnerships.
  • Institutional Support for Teaching in a Changing World: Teacher training, communities of practice, and strategies for innovation.

The conference welcomes oral presentations, poster presentations, workshops and special sessions. The deadline for submissions is 11 January 2026.

Set against the backdrop of Alcalá de Henares, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with peers and explore how to drive pedagogical innovation and global collaboration in the classroom. The registration for participants will close on 24 March 2026. The conference fee, as well as travel and accommodation costs, will be covered by EUGLOH for contributors and attendees.
