LMU Munich recently hosted a three-day seminar aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of global health. The seminar brought together 17 students from several EUGLOH universities.

The course offered participants a unique opportunity to enhance their communication and presentation skills while also delving into the multifaceted aspects of global health.

A highlight of the event was the inaugural LMU Global Health Day, during which students were exposed to a diverse range of ideas and perspectives linked to the very topic that had brought them together.

The workshop also included a hands-on communication activity facilitated by a guest lecturer from Lund University. Through case-based learning, the participants had the opportunity to gain practical insights into effective communication strategies in the context of public health.

With participants hailing from different academic backgrounds and cultural settings, the workshop provided an ideal platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences. Interdisciplinary collaboration was not just encouraged but actively cultivated through teamwork exercises and intercultural communication workshops, which allowed them to evolve from a group of strangers to a tight-knit community.

Reflecting on their experience, students expressed a newfound appreciation for the interconnectedness of global health issues and the importance of collaboration in addressing them. As the workshop concluded, it left behind not just enriched minds but also a sense of camaraderie and of commitment to driving positive change in the realm of global health.
