Key Highlights from 2025
One Transnational Campus:
As part of the goal to build an interconnected campus, there have been a high number of activities to promote health and well-being as well as sustainability across EUGLOH campuses. Additionally, EUGLOH’s vision for the European Student Card, eduTAP, has attracted increasing attention in 2025.
Future-proof professionals:
New teaching and co-creation formats have been launched and existing ones expanded to continue to work towards EUGLOH’s goal to equip students and staff with quality transversal and future-proof skills.
Societal Challenges in Global Health:
EUGLOH fostered collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovative approaches to global health issues in 2025 through the R&I Task Force, student-led research, Global Health Days, and co-creation workshops.
Student Involvement & Leadership:
Students have shown exceptional leadership this year —leading and organising a high number of local activities on their campus, contributing to governance structures, and contributing actively to the Annual Summit.
Sustainable Progress:
Important key achievements for the sustainable management of the Alliance were reached in 2025. Additionally, the Alliance laid the groundwork in sustaining its long-term collaboration beyond the project phase.
Strategy & Partnerships:
In 2025, EUGLOH advanced significantly through both internal and external strategic developments. Internally, the newly launched Focus Areas now serve as the Alliance’s thematic anchors, while externally the Alliance expanded partnerships, and enhanced its visibility and impact in the European higher education landscape.
Looking Ahead to 2026
The upcoming year promises exciting activities, including the EUGLOH Teachers Conference on Pedagogical Development, and further advancements, for example in the Alliance’s endeavour to further embed the Focus Areas and formalise key partnerships. Students are entering the new year with a renewed commitment to contributing meaningfully to the Alliance’s impact.
In her closing remarks, Emily Helmeid, Secretary General of EUGLOH, finds inspirational words for the way forward, emphasising the importance of the Alliance and its community: “Together we continue building opportunities, structures and ambitions that did not exist before, not only sustaining our alliance but setting it on a more confident, strategic trajectory.”
