EUGLOH Unveils 2024 Annual Review: A Year of Progress, Innovation, and Collaboration
This year's review highlights EUGLOH’s commitment to building an inclusive, interconnected campus that spans nine universities across Europe, while preparing future-ready professionals equipped to tackle the pressing societal issues of our time.
Key Highlights from 2024
- Enhanced Visibility and Accessibility: A revamped website, integrated management tool, and a growing social media presence have expanded EUGLOH’s outreach and engagement.
- Student-Centric Initiatives: Students played active roles in leadership and governance, participated in innovative intercultural programmes, and had the opportunity to engage directly with Nobel laureates at the Annual Summit.
- Research and Collaboration: Matchmaking events, a Research Managers Network, and interdisciplinary workshops strengthened the Alliance’s research ecosystem.
- Sustainable Progress: Under UiT’s presidency, operational efficiency improved, laying the groundwork for long-term governance and strategic growth.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As 2024 concludes, EUGLOH remains steadfast in its mission to lead the way in global health education and research. The upcoming year promises further advancements, including the launch of the Joint Opportunities Platform and the operationalisation of the EUGLOH Regional Hubs as centers of excellence.
In her closing remarks, Emily Helmeid, Secretary General of EUGLOH, emphasised the values that drive the Alliance: "Humility, humour, and humanity are the threads weaving through every achievement we celebrate. As we face the challenges ahead, these principles will guide us in creating meaningful change for society."
