This e-conference, which is part of a greater series on sustainability, will focus on the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, with a focus on Food Security. It will bring together experts on the subject, each bringing their own unique perspective to the table.

As part of the EUGLOH ongoing series of e-conferences focused on diversity and inclusion, Université Paris-Saclay and Lund University, will co-host an online conference dedicated to explore Goal 2 of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals: Zero Hunger. The global issue of hunger and food insecurity has shown an alarming increase since 2015, a trend intensified by a combination of factors including the pandemic, conflict, climate change, and deepening inequalities. The persistent surge in hunger and food insecurity, fueled by a complex interplay of factors, demands immediate attention and coordinated global efforts to alleviate this critical humanitarian challenge. It is projected that more than 600 million people worldwide will be facing hunger in 2030, highlighting the immense challenge of achieving the zero hunger target. In this e-conference speakers will adress this issue with their different perspectives, and participants will also get the opportunity to ask questions.
