Aiming to foster excellent research, tackle societal challenges and boost innovation in Europe, the European Union (EU) provides multiple funding opportunities for various target groups: from individual scientists – at different stages of their career – to large-scale collaborative research teams.
This year has seen the start of the EU’s ninth Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe. The programme sets the financial, political and legal frame for a variety of individual funding schemes, which cover a wide array of thematic fields. To this end, Horizon Europe addresses topics such as climate change, sustainable development (keyword “Green Deal”), digitalisation and health, and here in particular the ongoing fight against the coronavirus as well as measures for a sustainable recovery from the global pandemic. With a total budget of €95.5 billion over a period of seven years (2021–2027), it is one of the world’s largest public funding programmes for research and innovation.
Subject & Speakers
Following a successful first training round focused on the previous programme Horizon 2020 last year, this webinar series seeks to give an introduction to the overall structure and novelties of Horizon Europe, and will take a special look at funding opportunities in the area of health research. Plus, we will provide practical tips on how to write a successful project proposal, and address strategies to maximise the impact of your research – a task which has gained even more importance in the new programme.
The series consists of four individual online modules taking place in the week from 6 to 9 September 2021. Further information on the focus of each session can be found below under "Programme". We recommend you join us for all four sessions, but you are also free to sign up for individual courses.
For this online training series LMU has once again teamed up with the experts from the European Research and Project Office GmbH (EURICE), one of Germany’s largest project and innovation management consultancy firms for European and international R&I projects.
Participants will receive a certificate of participation.
