This course will provide an introduction to the field of social epidemiology together with an overview of the field and will focus on both theoretical and methodological issues.
It will include a combination of lecture, Q&A and discussion for each session. Specifically, the course will discuss social, political and commercial factors associated with the social fabric of a society that affect health outcomes and produce/generate health inequities.

Requirements
A course on Epidemiology, sociology or related-disciplines (Introductory or Intermediate level) is required for participating.
- Selection strategy: CV and motivation letter. It must be sent in PDF format to eugloh@uah.es indicating in the subject "Summer School “Social, commercial, and political determinants of health: Emerging issues”".
- Number of participants: 16 PhD students (2 per partner university).
- Certificate/ECTS: Certificate.
- Language: English, a minimum of a B2 level is required (CEFR common european framework of reference).
Please note that a scholarship for travel and subsistence is included for participants. You shall contact the EUGLOH team at your university to get information.
